Certification
To obtain the FCP in Security Operations certification, you must pass two elective exams within two years of difference. The certification will be active for two years.
Recertification
If your FCP in Security Operations certification has expired, you must pass two elective exams no more than two years apart to earn active status.
If your FCP in Security Operations certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date by two years from the date you complete one of the following requirements:

- Passing two elective exams within two years of difference.
- Passing the core exam for the FCSS in Security Operations certification.
If your FCP in Security Operations certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to three years from the date you achieve or renew the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
Passing any of the FCP exams recertifies your FCF and FCA certifications if they are still active.
